Invitation For Bids - The Construction of the St. David's Catholic School

The Government of Grenada (GOG) has received financing from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) in an amount equivalent to USD 19,544,000 towards the cost of the Grenada Education Enhancement Project Phase II (the Project) and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this financing to eligible payments under this contract.  Payment by CDB will be made only at the request of (GOG) and upon approval by CDB, and will be subject, in all respects, to the terms and conditions of the Financing Agreement.  The Financing Agreement prohibits withdrawal from the financing account for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import, to the knowledge of CDB, is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations.  No party other than (GOG) shall derive any rights from the Financing Agreement or have any claim to the proceeds of the Financing.

The Project is being implemented by the Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports & Culture through its Project Management & Implementation Unit (PMIU).  The Ministry of Education has contracted Consultants who will assist the PMIU with delivering the Project.  The Consultants have prepared designs and contract documentation and will assist in tender administration and evaluation and supervise Project activities.

GOG now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction of the St. David’s Catholic Secondary School.  The works include, but are not limited to the following:

1. The Construction of a new three story building that will contain twenty two (20) classrooms, technical labs, gym and gym storage, multi-Purpose spaces and administrative accommodations with a lift.
2. External Works comprising of pavement and parking area, site drainage, perimeter fencing, road repairs and waste water treatment facilities.
3. MEP Installation including Electrical, Plumbing, Air Conditioning, Fire Protection and Gas Installation.
